Flavor Texts
Slime Spawn – Slime Shoal (Cistern) – Immune to Mind Spells + Immune to Mind Spells
“Slime spawns are masses of slithering, noxious ooze. The creep clusters where they are bred must be attached to lakes of acid, a danger exclusive to the Netherworld. Or rather, it was. When a need for foot soldiers rose within Spire armies, the slime spawns were brought forward: Their immunity to mind spells makes them unswayable in the battlefield, yet they are easy to command. Containment cisterns were built in order to recruit them as efficiently as possible. During the building process, it was discovered that certain types of ooze complemented each other’s abilities; which led to the production of slime shoals.”
#The lakes of acid were inspired by the Old Wounds scenario.
Succubus – Succubus Temptress (Chamber of Lust) – None + Seduction
“Succubi are the embodiments of lust. Bloodlust, above all else; or whatever substitutes for the creature they are attacking. Even though they are taught how to restrain themselves, the passion makes each and every one of their strikes count. Temptresses share their bloodlust with their enemies, seducing them with each successful hit. Seduced targets get none of the best and all of the worst: They neither get a fixed damage pattern nor any kind of control. As a result of the latter situation, they practically lose %10 of their health. The effect washes off immediately after.”
#Maybe they will use a quarterstaff for a weapon?
Brute – Executioner (Chamber of Gluttony) – Flying + Flying, Execution
"Brutes are the embodiments of gluttony. These pig-like, flying monstrosities devour everything on their path and are barely distinguishable from animals; hence their title. But some are able to suppress their hunger and instead sharpen their skills. They are promoted to the rank of executioners, coldblooded murderers known through all Netherworld. Once an executioner kills a targeted troop, allies have their morale increased by 2, up to a maximum of +2. This increase lasts for three rounds, with each execution renewing its duration.”
Rakshasa – Rakshasa Veteran (Chamber of Sloth) – Ranged (12), Slow Caster + Ranged (24), Slow Caster
“Rakshasas are the embodiments of sloth. They can cast an advanced Slow spell on any target, any time they choose. However, since the process tires them more than fighting, they flat out refuse to do so if a troop is already under its effect. They listen to their sense of comfort much more readily than their sense of danger. Thankfully, they are not lacking in combat capabilities. In this regard, veterans actually don’t present much to be gained; but their inclusive field experience leads them to act a lot faster.”
Salamander – Radiant Salamander (Chamber of Wrath) – Combustion + Selective Combustion
“Salamanders are the embodiments of wrath. Nothing delights them more than simply unleashing themselves. Wielding darkfire like the closely related traitors, gogs and magogs, they can summon a fireball above all immunities. Unlike the cowardly pyromaniacs however, they use it in melee; with those beside the targeted enemy taking 50% damage. Radiant Salamanders have so much darkfire stored up, it starts to reach out, giving them a flaming look. They don’t let it burn their predetermined allies.”
Crocotta – Leucrocotta (Chamber of Envy) Leveler + Leveler
“Crocottas are the embodiments of envy. Once they lay eyes on a creature, they feel an overwhelming desire to destroy all of its positive aspects. Though, one such aspect is more of a target than the rest, reinforced by the inherent fragility of crocottas: Might. The strength and self-confidence others possess must be abolished at once. To this end, they temporarily enhance their own might; gaining higher Attack values with degrees varying in accordance to their enemies. Leucrocottas, who one could expect to be less aggressive thanks to their relative increase in power, have an even greater desire for destruction.”
Erinyes – Erinyes Avenger (Chamber of Pride) Flying, Regeneration + Flying, Regeneration, Scourge
“Erinyes are the embodiments of pride. Even in the thick of the battle, they savor some of their energy to regenerate. This hubris is not entirely misplaced however, as Erinyes alone enforce the Laws of the Bottom; the code all chthonics are obliged to follow. Without them acting as the agents of authority, it is feared that another civil war would commence. And Netherworld might not persevere this time around. Avengers, acting as the agents of annihilation, take things to a new extreme and reject appearing weak before others. They subsequently scourge everyone at retaliations and hit back with maximum damage.”
#Blackguard's text: “All Blackguards have some familiarity with magic, and their knowledge of the arcane rivals that of spellcasters in-training.”
